Tamannaah Bhatia was born into a Punjabi family in Mumbai. She completed her schooling at Maneckji Cooper Education Trust School. Her acting career began with the Bollywood film "Chand Sa Roshan Chehra" (2005) at the age of 15. She also appeared in Abhijeet Sawant’s music video "Lafzon Mein" the same year.
